Hi everyone my name is Dan i have been 4wding for about 4 years now i started with a swb mq with a sd33 was the best $2500 i ever spent i recently upgraded to a series iii 3L gu with 190000 on the clock only had it 3 months and just found out the head is cracked im looking at putting a 4.2 litre turbo diesel into it as its not much more then replacing the cracked head can anyone tell me if the 4.2 has any problems and how easy it would be to get one with low klm's.

Welcome to the forum mate, 4.2 diesels are renowned for their super reliability and which can make it hard to find at times but just keep a look out and saved searches on Ebay, Carsales, etc and be ready to go see it at a drop of a hat.

Gday Dan, welcome to the forum mate. Theres not much that can be faulted about the 4.2 diesel. Plenty of info about to search through. I think theres even a couple of threads about the same conversion.
