had my rear wheels off the other day so decided to be a good boy and check my shoes, wound two m8 bolts in till they bottomed and then heard this twang like a spring releasing, it was getting late so i called it quits on checking the shoes put the wheels back and took it for a drive to try out the greaseable shackles. shackles seem good only problem is i have a squeeling comming from the corner i tried to remove. I am guessing my drums have a lip and a shoe caught on that and came out with the drum maybe dislodging something causing the squeak. Any tricks to removing them or just try some longer bolts? oh gq ute btw

Back off the adjuster on the shoes. Should be an elongated hole in the backing plate, use a flat head screw driver

yeh i thought it would be like a handbrake drum aswell but checked the manual and these is not one, should be on the opposite side to the slave right? only elongated hole on my backing plates is up near the slave and there is just a spring behind it
