View Full Version : just bought my new/old GQ Patrol

just bought a 90 model rb30 man lwb stock as 3 days ago. already put some muds on and roof rack with some spottys and got some new slider rear windows from OZAUTO. IM after some more stuff such as 4'' snorkel, winch bar, rear bar and rock sliders if someone has some information an how to make these or where i could possibly buy these things for a reasonable price as my funds are very limited im in south east subs victoria

Gday mate welcome aboard gotta friendly m ob here fulla great info and advice. Admin (AB) has done a wicked DIY on a 4" stainless snorkel ill find the thread and give you a link mate

so just got my head back all fixed up and nice and clean big morning tomorrow putting it all back on hopefully next week should be able to get a roady then i can do the snorkel, diff breathers, storage box in the back suspension and still gotta gat a lokka and im done until i can work out the best way to put some more power into it should be a fun couple of weeks

Welcome to the forum.

If you have a carby rb30, a quick way to get a bit more power is to remove the carby heater element - (not really needed unless you are often in the snow).

Between the carby and the manifold, there is a honey comb heater element (has two wires going into it) it restricts the air / fuel flow.

Remove the honey comb (break it off), I also removed the "cup" that directs the fuel flow that sits below the hone comb in the inlet manifold.

Welcome to the forum.
