Can anyone tell me why my GU has a steering wobble at 85 to 90 k's . Drives fine otherwise

Wobble/shudder in that "magic" speed range is (usually) almost certainly tyre related ... don't know why, just know I've had it and I was told tyres by some 'in the know' types and they were spot on ... the giveaway was the speed at which it occurred - again, don't know the science, but apparently around the 85 mark is the magic number to highlight uneven tyre wear, delamination, out of round issues, etc ...

Others on here may be able to explain why, but certainly don't rule out the tyres themselves.

Hope it's "that easy" for you mate...

I had huge issues with wobbles on mine so I replaced the wheels and tyres. HUGE improvement. But I still have the problem you're talking about. I will have to look at something else but at least its manageable now.

If a wheel balance doesn't work try panhard bushes, thats what fixed my wagon
