Hi,
I was wondering if you could put power steering on a g60 patrol year 1969, what kit it would be and what the price would be.

G'day David, I reckon anything is possible if enough $$$$ are thrown at the challenge.

There would be quite a few things to change - I'll leave it for the experts to respond.

A cheap solution might be to put a bit more air in the front tyres :-). There was a Pommy truck from the 60s I think - as the load capacity went up, so did the diameter of the steering wheel :-)

The MQ /MK system IF you have the same diffs ( i dont know what they have )
If its similar ,no probs, depending on your motor
Is your current steer box mounted to the chassis with 4 bolts , like the MQ/MK ???
That aside , IF the steering box and pitman arm will do then you only need the steer box, hoses and pump and depending on your motor some mounting to engine brackets

The pitman arms are different between the manual steer and the power steer in the MQ/MK range, a little pitfall , so youll need the correct spline sized pitman arm
Youll also need a pulley on the engine balancer that will accomadate the power steer, ya know run an extra belt
Ive a complete steer set up here for an MQ/MK,full set up
Cost for a complete set up , up near the 200 mark , then as mentioned depends on your engine (the MQ/MKs had the P40 , so brackets mite be sourced 2nd hand ???)
