92patrolgq fuel pump problems

can anybody help.mates gq won't run on petrol.relay good.dropped tank out.have power to pump via two wires .five wires going to pump .so used to holdens,two wires,power and earth.should fuel pump make a noise when power turn on?if yes ,is fuel pump stuffed? JUST BOUGHT A 98 PATROL 2 WEEKS AGO ,HAPPY AS A PIG IN SH!T.

The fuel pump should prime when power is applied/keys turned on mate, so I'd say you might be on the right path if it's not doing so ...
