Dear all,

Saturday my radiator started to leak, it is probably caused by high pressure coming from the engine as it is damaged and loses pressure by the valve cap, does any of you agree or disagree with my conclusion? I am planning to have the radiator rebuilt but I am not sure when I will be able to rebuild my RD28 therefore I guess I will have to leave the car in home until the engine is rebuilt.

thoughts?

thanks,

Carlos

Why is high pressure coming from the motor. Is it just a stuffed thermostat? Cheap fix if it is. Wheres the radiator leaking from. If its the cap replace that and see how ya go.

Hi and thanks for the tip. I will check both things tomorrow and fix the radiator too. And BTW leaking was on the top left corner looking the car from the rear. Does that mean anything to you?

your reply was very appreciated.

Cheers,

Carlos

If the radiator is leaking, the loss of pressure will cause overheating.
Fix the radiator, fit new cap and see if that solves the problem.
You may still find you have a head problem, do a compression test and cooling system pressure test.
