Hi
I have recently serviced my Patrol Ti 4500 (dual fuel Petrol / LPG.

Interestingly since the service the vehicle idles well when using petrol; however when I cross over to LPG gas the vehicle will idle well. The moment the electric fan on the radiator ‘kicks in’ the vehicle shudders (revs drop a bit) and the vehicle wants to stall. In fact it now stalls whenever I bring the vehicle to a stop.

When the electric fan stops operating, the vehicle resumes idling well.

I have on an earlier thread about cleaning the MAF. I have used the CRC MAF cleaner and cleaned the MAF.

The problem remains.

Any ideas / solutions will be sincerely appreciated.

Regards

Get the dual start relay checked ... if its faulty, and/or you have an electrical issue causing it to fault, it could be spitting fuel in when on idle that essentially floods the engine and stalls it (LPG and fuel getting spat in).

This is exactly what my brother just had in his dual fuel 4.2 and $286 later (faulty relay), it is humming once again ...

May not be it mate, but just sounded too similar to not let you know at least.

Good luck with it and hopefully others may have suggestions also ....
