Hi All

Just wondering if a chip upgrade and a bigger exhaust was recommended for the 3.0L GU patrol 2008 model.

If this is the go then who would be the best 4X4 mechanics to do this in Sydney area?

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul.
I recommend a 3" system from the back of turbo and a Tunit Chip as they have a three year warranty and a 12 month driveline warranty for any vehicle under five years old and yours qualifies. No other chip offers the driveline warranty.

Try the links below.

Sorry Paul, forgot to mention the fact that I have both of these on my 2002 3.0Lt manual. They work brilliantly. The boost in first is now spread across the rev range instead of the powerband effect just before you change gear.

Hi Paulvdw
I have a 2003 Auto GU111 3.0L patrol with a steinbauer (think thats how you spell it) chip and exhaust up grade. Tow,s my 2 ton ski boat with ease. Able to maintain 70kmh up hill,s (with boat on) without having to work the engine to hard. Tow,s much better than my old 1989 4.0L 6cyl deisel troopy and 2004 3.3L V6 petrol navara.
Not sure if this is the kind of info that my help you.
If you would like exact details on my chip and exhaust maufacture details let me know an i will dig out invoice. I was installed by a mechanic on the central coast of N.S.W

Thanks for the info guys.

Jimmy, that would be great if you could specify what it was that you had done. I live in Orange so Sydney is not that far away.

I have requested some details from the guys that Chrysler62 recomended and they have not bothered to contact me back.

Cheers

i have an 07 3lt and had a 3in outlaw Beaudesert pipes exhaust fitted and notice big difference , pulls well up hills and great for overtaking on hyway but now it over boosts and goes into limp mode so i have to turn the engine of to restore power , so this week i'm getting a boost controller fitted and a chip and blocking the egr valve they will be doing a before and after dyno so can't wait to see the results. I will put the results on my earlier post , my engine is completely dead under 2000 rpm and they reckon this should improve it greatly...fingers crossed..
