yes i know it suxs without pics i do have some vidio but the lap top is hiding it on me and i have not yet found them
just got back home tonight and had a very eventful trip down to the blue mountains. arrived at blue hills farm retreat ( www.bluehillsfarmretreat.com.au )last friday afternoon and met up with a couple of old mates from the off the black 4wd club jim with his GQ and peter with his GU also along for the ride a friend from brisbane with his toyota LC 80s
headed up to newns SF on the saturday with great excitment had done these tracks for a couple of years first port of call was flex hill and and the wombat holes no dramas but we needed a little guide for the LC as he had no lokkas and not the best rear diff. then onto the hills to nowhere (pipeline) this when it started to get interesting needed to do some road building but the hill still took its toll. this is where i cristened my bosley rock sliders and snagged the rear left flare AGAIN,,, the LC ripped of the the right hand rear guard and bummeret (this item travelled home in my roof rack) lunch at the lost city then over to a hill called ranger bob and son of bob this where my weekend got hobbled
ranger bob not a problem ripped it up to easy son of bob tried to claim the LC and a quick winch recovery by yours truely saved the LC from going down son of bob head over apex, after he slided sideways on the track feeling pritty good we pushed on to a "small" water hole peter goes around jim with his 4 inch lift and 35's bounched through i thought what the hell ill give this a crack and bellied out all 4 wheels of the ground and muddy water coming in,,,, my first ever car flooding!!!! hang head low i was snatched out by a hi lux thanks tony.
things cant get any worse now!!!! LMAO around the corner is huge wash out everyone crawls up it not to be out done i ignore the little voice saying "go around" and up i go making it out the top feeling dam good it is announced that i have a flat,,,,,, nope 2 flats one with side wall torn the other with dirt in bead!!!!!!!! thank god we were heading home so multipul plugs in the side wall and over inflated tyres on the front axle we made it back to the farm where we stayed till i come get to a tyre service on tuesday.
wednesday with no spare i took my qld mate for a run through Kangara boyde NP across the kowmung river and dingo dell and back in to the farm where we found that the LC had loosened the bell houseing bolts on the front diff and had injested water into it thursday was spent in cory's workshop pulling axles and resealing diffs for the trip home
all in all it was 1 brand new tyre written off 1 tyre with leeking bead to flares on the hekarewe damaged on the LC damaged diff repared and parts pulled of the LC the weekend was not all bad news though as we also got in some night shooting and did one of the local farmers a favour by culling out some roos and foxes.
as soon as i can work it out i will find the vidios and pic and loud them up!!!
