Tappets

Goodaye all would it make much difference to starting 4.2 diesel if the tappets were out a little even, when hot, mine tends to turn a few times before firing, where it used to turn about 1/4 turn and fire just a thought as i haven't had them readjusted since doing the head. Thanks for any replies.

It could do. Is there much tappet noise when you start first thing?

How's your battery going? They need a lot of cranking amps to get these puppies started quickly and the only time mine does the above as mentioned is when the battery is a bit low from leaving chargers or lights on.
