2.8 gu auto

Did the gu 2.8 ever come out in an auto got bored at work today and started searching the net and there is nothing about 2.8s with an auto

Im not sure that they ever came out in the Patrol as an auto however they do have vehicle such as the nissan laurel that has an auto box on it. Have a look on trademe.co.nz and you will find an auto box for an RD28.

gu4.2 I am only curious about it as i have never seen a gu 2.8 in auto form imagine how it would take off 0-100 in 3.5 yrs lol

Hi. As far as I know they were only manual but I am happy to be corrected. Did read something once on the web which seemed to suggest that they existed but I think they were misguided. Mines manual and yeah they would be even slower in auto for sure.

God an auto would be dreadful in the GU 2.8 unless it was a truck auto with about 8 gears. I drove a manual GU and spooling it up was a problem, but once it got over 80k's it was a missile. I was also driving a 4.2TD at the same time and it would easily chew that off once it got over 80.

I have a 2.8 auto. it is tough getting up but, after spooling it moves.
