You'll find that you'll need to get new compliance plates and get you mod engineered an certified as the DX was only ever meant to carry 5 passengers......... as for mounting the rear seats, sorry I don't know but hopefully someone who does will come along soon

HI Mate It’s a bit different in Tassie I just need to have it approved by a Motor Trimmer/ Upholstery business that has Transport approval.

I thought the same thing with the engineer but after some ringing around I found out the above. :-)

All the holes will be there. You may have to get some brackets which will bolt to the floor then the seats will mount to them. See if someone can post some photos of their patrol with rear seats fitted and their mounting.

Hi bushytas,

I took some photos of the rear of my car. The seat has been taken out. There is a side mounting on the wheel arch and a u bolt for the floor. The seat must have a side mounting point and a floor locking mechanism.

I don’t suppose you would be able to measure the length height and width of the mount for me Please

There is a thread about fitting dickie seats to a DX on the Patrol4x4 forum, but enter at own risk. The site is still full of nasties.

On your left seat you only need two bolt holes for the seat hinges. On the right hand side your bracket/adapter will have to include the bottom mount point for the seat belt .

Ok well I’ve got some more pictures for you all
I’ve just finished putting the seats in and I put carpet underlay all threw the 4wd to keep it quiet, sorry I didn’t get any pictures of this as it was raining
I also found loads on grommets that could be used to run wiring into the car so I took some pictures just for interest sake.
I will get a picture of it all finished and put up soon but i look like a patrol
