New to four wheel driving, but have had my fair share of go fast toys before.
I have just bought a 2008 GU, and am wondering how difficult it would be to instal a 2' lift kit in my driveway (driveway is cement, long, wide and flat). from what I can see all I will need is a set of spring compressors, rattle gun and a couple of hours of spinning nuts. Is it as easy as dropping out the old springs and shocks and replacing with the new ones?

Will I require a front and back wheel alignment? Will I need to get a caster/camber kit?

I was looking at the Iron man lift kit, http://www.ironman4x4.com/html/suspension_kits.html

any thoughts, tips, pointers are greatly appreciated

Cheers

from what you said you have enough tools, i would do a wheel alignment to be on the safe side and you shouldnt need caster correction on a 2in lift.

Howdy Biscuits.
You wont even need the spring compressors mate, they will just drop out.
The only thing you will need to keep an eye on are your brake lines.
Dont forget you will need to fit a rear sway bar extension and a brake bias adjuster plate.
This is the kit I fitted to mine and as you can see it comes with all you will need to do the job right and they are good blokes too deal with.
