More power out of a td42 intercooled motor

G'day just bought a 05 Gu 4 and have noticed it does not have the pick up that my old Mq sd 33t has is there some basic mods that can be done without breaking the bank, as I am currently putting the money away for a superior engineering 4 inch lift?

Cheers for the link Lewy, Have put on order the 3" dump pipe and exhuast system, and looking into the aftermarket intercoolers

Looking at Scott's rods custom exhuast for about $800, but it has all been put on hold due to the front passenger wheel coming off while my partner was driving it Sunday now I am replacing the hub and disc rotor
