hi guys new to the Nissan patrol site from Perth

current project is a engine conversion on a 98 GU Patrol will soon be powered by a GM 6.0ltr v8 and a 6 speed auto from a VE ss

Welcome Julian.
Any tips on how too get a few more horses out of those 2.5s. A mate of mine has a Bravo with the same motor and he said its a great ute but he would like to get a bit more out of it.

thanks guys very friendly forum

The mazda 2.5 are a awesome little motor leaves the same aged hilux's for dead
a good air filter and exhaust always helps to free it up a bit you can get a pre made bolt on one off ebay also for 120 you can up grade and relocate the intercooler
and keeping up on servicing don't for get the fuel filter
other then that there's not much else you can do with out going in to big bucks and adjusting the fuel pump and using more fuel ect

There is also a german diesel chip like steinbauer that you can get off ebayfor $150 that works well feom all accounts i have read on it, there is some good threads in the ford / mazda section over at 4wda
