Hi to all. I wonder if there is an easy way to improve cooling system on my 2.8TD engine. It seems to get hot (temp gauge) even during the spring time and I am afraid to overheat it.

Hi mate, You have to get that sorted quick as the 2.8s love cracking heads.
Look into getting a new radiator or at least get yours cleaned, give it a good flush and make sure your viscous hub is operating properly.

Yep definitely back flush your radiator & totally drain coolant from block using drain
Plug down behind the turbo. Then replace thermostat & radiator cap Nissan are better
N only bout $70 for the pair.
Next the viscous hub if it still getting hot either change it or get some silicon oil bout $10 a small
Tube & put a few drops inside hub. Not too much or u will lock fan & it will run all time very noisy.
Last of all if it's still getting hot mine was the head gasket which you can do yourself if you
Have some tools n a day to yourself .
I done all the easy bits first with mine but Murphy's law struck me but luckily just a few layers
Of the multi layer head gasket was cracked. Luckily mine wasn't the head.
Now it's lucky to get to halfway even towing...
Cheers n let us know how u fair.. TonyD

Well I've tried a couple of aftermarket thermostats & radiator caps & realy I did notice the difference & mine
Runs way cooler n better with genuine Nissan ones.
Just from my own experience my engine ran hotter with aftermarket.
