Faulty keyless entry remote

Hi there
New to the form. I seem to have been given a dud remote with my recently acquired 2003 GU III.
Got the truck with two one works no issue other nothing replaced the battery still nothing.

Is there a way to see if it's sending anything. Or can these be replaced aftermarket?

I'm thinking it maybe a replacement that has either not been coded or somehow lost its code

Download the GU workshop manual from this site. It explains how to code the remote.

mate had the same problem as unit is aftermarket and cheeper to replace the hole unit than the key fob

Yep I replaced mine with a complete kit for $90. Half hour later I was back up and running again. Piss easy to install.
