My 2010 GU Patrol came with an ALKO Sensabrake electric brake controller already installed. Has anyone had any experience with this device? It has a Panic Button. "The panic button provides an antisway function. Should the trailer get into a sway the panic button is pressed, applying a light braking
force to the trailer independent to the towing vehicle. The brakes will be applied lightly for 3 seconds only and should assist in the straightening of the trailer. The tow vehicle & trailer stop lights are also activated." Well that may well be true, but when I hit the Panic Button without a trailer attached, after a couple of second's delay, the Patrol decelarates and then picks up again after a few more seconds. A bit disconcerting!

Wouldnt think that is "normal" others here will no doubt come back with an answer for you.

Thanks Macca. I will get it checked out. The Sensabrake system uses a pressure pad on the foot brake pedal to estimate braking force, rather than the normal "pendulum" to sense decelaration. The only other sensing seems to be a wire connected to the foot brake light switch.
