Ok well i was thinking about it and i havent actually done a "My Ride" thread, just some stuff in the DIY section. i finally put together a video of the whole painting process, and thought id share it all for you guys to have a look at.
i bought the car at the beginning of 2012 of a mate for $1500. it was in pretty good knick, although the exterior had seen much better days. the paint was de-laminating over most of the panels, and on closer inspection noticed a fair bit of rust. it came with a newly installed(mid 2011) 2" king springs lift kit, extractors and a 2.5 inch straight through exhaust.
this isnt my first patrol, and another mate of mine and I had always planned on giving the first patrol a bonnet paint job with what ended up on this one, so i teed it up with him and we decided to respray the whole car.
im in the process of changing the interior over to black, ive resprayed the dash and replaced both front carpet peices. i also just installed a new set of rear solid windows from patroldocta.com.au they are great!
the list of thinks that i will be doing to it in the future are as follows:
1.convert entire interior to black
2. tint windows really dark
3. Rear quarter chop
4. buy or make a rear bar and rock sliders
5. 33" tyres
6. Make Myself a set of rear drawers(black of course)
all up im pretty happy with my progress so far on the truck. it needs a head gasket replaced i think, it leaks a bit of water i think thats the head gasket, and i will get around to that sometime, i just wont push her too hard till then.
please enjoy the pics below:
