Hi
I would like to service my 1998 Nissan Patrol GQ (4.5L).
I would like some advice on what spares would I require ( e.g. plugs, etc, etc).
Also what oil (grade / spec) should I be using?
And am I in for any surprises, like requiring any special tools etc.
Lastly I reside in Heathwood / Forest Lake (Brisbane). Where would I be able to purchase the parts at a reasonable price?

Lastly any special tips, hints.....

Much appreciated.
Regards

AG

Oil Filter, Oil, plugs, leads, fuel filter, air filter, maybe some throttle body cleaner, valve set (may need feeler gauges). You can find your oil spec in your owners manual with car or any good 15w-40 i would think will be fine it. Im not sure of your maint history but all other oils could be changed at this point, drive belts, coolant, have a good look over all your suspension and steering component and bushes, engine and gearbox mounts, check condition of unis and driveshafts, wheel bearings, rotate tyres there is plenty you can do just do a thorough inspection before hand and make yourself a list of work you want to get done.
