Pretty sure Ferntree Gully bolts (on Burwood hwy) and Bayswater bolts are owned by the same mob, so hopefully they'd be able to cross check to see if the other store had anything for you

Ebay ones are stainless steel, which is ideal for my application(exhaust O2 bung), but can't wait.
If you've gota one to spare, let me know.
    Cheers

Pretty sure 18mm 1.5 is same same as older Hilux sump plug! Only short but correct thread. Try local wreckers or local spare parts shop. Should be readily available!

Was thinking its about the size of a sump/gearbox or diff plug.

    Thanx mate.
Pirtek had it for ten bucks or so, but decided to pick a stuffed O2 sensor from an exhaust joint or wreckers, as you advised.
I was purposely complicating a scenario with a simple solution.
It's either I'm experiencing earlier signs of old age dementia or I've been suffering brain fog from calorie controlled diet.

Yeah, but bit hard to find them these days, I reckon. Most vehicles use 14mm.
