It is the series model before mine. Can't comment on the petrol. While she still has statutory warranty ask her to have it out on a hoist and CONFIRM the All Wheel Drive system is functional. I have blown the 4wd Coupler 3 times.... expensive fix. If it is blown the car may well run perfectly as a Front wheel drive without you knowing anything is wrong until you need AWD on a wet road.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

My daughter bought a Cruze before we knew how crappy they were. Transmission was buggered. Car had an extended warranty on it with 3 months left, we got the trans replaced under warranty. Bloody lucky.
That thing's up for a timing belt now, don't know what that's going to cost???

Is it equipped with a belt or a chain? If the Holden Cruze is the same as a Chevy Cruze, it isn't a major job. There are Gates timing belt kits available. I think some have a water pump included. A good mechanic should be able to do it without breaking your bank.

I don't know if it's a chain or belt???? I think they're the same as the Chev. I need to look into it further. Sounds like it may not be much of a problem hopefully.

Corona virus restrictions easing, one extra day long weekend weekend and everyone goes nuts! Every man and his dog out there, short loop from home to Knox and back via work took half a day . . Melba Hwy closed for some reason, crash on KG rd and closed (hopefully everyone OK) and traffic everywhere, damn long weekend madness. . .
