Thought I'd ask here before I accidently buy more rubbish.
Is anyone aware of a good quality 14mm-25mm (or thereabouts) steel drill bit set with 13mm shanks?
I'm trying to drill big holes in 10mm steel plate.

If you were in Brisbane I could lend you one. They are not cheap.

Check Total Tools or similar trade outlets. I have a sutton set that does that range, have lasted from years of abuse. I am looking for a quality sharpener at the moment but can't find one at a reasonable price.

Why 13 mm shanks? Drilling a 25 mm hole in a 10 mm steel plate is a big ask for a device with only a 13 mm capacity chuck 🤪🤪

Why not use hole saws. Take a lot less material out and be much quicker with less load on the drill.
Cutting a 25mm hole with a 13mm chuck drill is a huge ask. For user and drill lol

Depends on the accuracy of the hole I suppose. If you want a concentric hole, use a drill, if you are not fussed about the eccentricity or even oversize, use a hole saw. Thats my personal experience.

I didn't think of hole saws, might see if I can blunten one of those
13mm because those are the drills I have
A Sutton kit is damn expensive, I'm sure it would last a lifetime though!
Thanks for your input all
