    Name that part...

    Hi,

Just picked up my 1st Patrol. 2014 Manual.
I have a "name that part" question.

Noticed a bit of rattle coming from the rear seats, so I thought I'd investigate.

Turns out there was a loose tool / rod floating around under the seats.
Its about 1m long. Photo taken with wife's sunnies for reference.
    IMG_0110.jpg

Looks unused. The end is flattened to drive something. Hook on the other end.
Is this a jack extension? Or just some random part from the previous owner.
If its part of the Patrol kit, where's it supposed to be stashed?

    Thanks

Thanks mate. Does it have a home aside from floating under the kids seats making noise?

Should be clips under the seat to secure it

Can also be handy for turning "road seriously injured" into "road kill", poking the Camp Fire and Hemerrhoidectomys

I think that black and brown thing is a pair of Northern Hemisphere sunglasses.
Bugger all use here as they are upside down for Oz, might be OK if you stand on your head.

Usually stowed on the dash, in the centre console, door pockets, glove box, roof console (if you have a flash Patrol) on the seat (if you want a suprise) on the front of a T'shirt (if you have boobies) and occasionally on the roof (up to about 30 KPH or 15% grade)

Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

IMO you are better off ditching the OE mechanical jack in favour of a 20 tonne hydraulic job.
much less effort, and more throw [height] too
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
