You are dead rite!! Its been dragging on for two years now. When they thought that I owed them the $$ they were relentless. Even threatened to take my house to recover the $$. I really hope its just incompetence and not corruption.

Not so much angry as disappointed. Have spent a lot of time and effort getting all things planned and set up for a trip in a few weeks from Brisbane across the Simpson via the French Line and return via the Madigan Line only to be stymied by the flooding of Eyre Creek. Both tracks will be closed until at least the beginning of July, and probably quite a bit later as water is still coming down.
While I can be flexible with dates, the others are restricted to their pre-arranged holidays.
How does that saying go " The best laid plans of mice and men . . . . "?

Just had a bloke rock up, claiming that he had a few ton of road base, left over, that he could put down on our driveway "for free".

Wonder if I should ask the cops to look into it.

Definitely, that's a pretty common scam, they end up threatening you with a bill for tens of thousands. Did he have an accent Ooi?
