Thanks Westy - will get back to you once we know.
$900 for the internal bearing sounds way too dear. I would've imagined you can get a brand new compressor for that price.
Then you still have to get the system flushed, lubricated and regassed at an A/C shop.

You can get them for that price haha, if we are talking about the bearing behind the clutch then its an easy job all you need is a puller and a press make its easier. or a good hammer. Use the puller to pull the clutch off the front, undo the circlip then pull off the pulley, then press bearing out of pulley go to bearing shop and purchase then reverse install Should be $50 max

Patrol God
My clutch bearing was $65.
But the actual pump which is being replaced is about $1000.
Genuine is about $1600

It's the internal bearing of the A/C pump, by the sound of it. Bearing behind the clutch shouldn't cost anywhere near $900.
I got the bearing for around $30 from Bearing Wholesalers.

I doubt its the internal bearing as he said it only failed after a muddy and watery trip. Id say he was quoted $900 all up including labor which is nuts but same like to charge haha

Hmmmmm........$900 to replace the A/C clutch bearing sounds like a highway robbery to me.

That's how my one died.
I don't think the $900 quote is to replace a clutch bearing. Well I hope not.
@Roosim please confirm what your been quoted for.

I hope not as well. Recharge is usually around $200 depending on the place and what else needed to be done.
Replacing clutch bearing wasn't that hard(at least in my RB30).
