    Upgrade time

I'm on my way down to brissy to visit some family and get some much needed upgrades for my Gu patrol DX.

I'll be taking a visit to 4wdsupacentre to pick up some goodies!
I know some might not think much of it but u just can't go past em on price so I thought I'd see if I can start a thread to see what's good and what should be avoided from what people use in their own rigs.

I'll be getting titan drawers - domin8or winch- awning - swag - a couple of snatch straps and some of the LEDs

Interested to hear what else is good

Donr buy rheir recovery gear. Spend better money on better safer gear, your life depends on it.

I wouldn't buy their awning for the Kings logo alone. I hate them so much I cringe whenever I see a car with one hanging off the side. Junk. I'd buy any other brand of awning just so I didn't have to advertise them.

I'd buy their titan drawers and their swag cause that's what you want.

I'd save a bit more and buy a Runva Winch.

    Hope that helps.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I have their winch as well as a side awning. I run an ARB rear awning and there's no noticeable quality difference.

Hope it all works but from experience don't expect ANY support if it does not.

Drawers are awesome for the money. I have them myself. Awning I have ARB awnings, but 4x4SC side sections to the awnings, only because the ARB ones are over $100!!! Thir swags I have two of the king doubles, pretty shit, but they do the job and I dont use them much. The Winch I'd go for Runva aswell. Snatch straps I 'd stick with branded ones, I snapped a brand new 4x4sc strap of the first pull. the leds are ok I have them...

Good work DXs mate, happy days, get out there relax and enjoy our country brother!
As the blokes above have said, please never ever buy cheap recovery gear, the cost is way too high mate!!! Also bought some rear drawers from them years back at an even then great price but are now still reassessing our added 80+kg they are for our legal vehicle GVM. I'm almost decided that the drawers have to go unfortunately:-(
