Recessed or sunken swith panel.
Guys,
Has anyone come across a recessed or "sunken" switch panel. I'm looking to install some switches and an air outlet in one of the vertical "wing panels" on either side of my storage drawers. Problem is because the rear doors come very close to the drawers ( especially now that one has a folding table on it ) any switches will get hit and may hold the door open.
The only similar recessed switch panel I've seen are those mounted in bass speaker ( boom boxes ) to hold the audio connections. These are a bit too small.
Any ideas?
( realize spelling mistake in thread title but cant edit it )

How low a profile do you need?
There are these which seem expensive till you factor in they include the switches, circuit protection etc

Another option is a quick visit to the local sheet metal dude and get a custom size panel bent up.

Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Thanks mate, but they need to be recessed quite a bit. They must be flush with the panel, not protruding. If I cant find anything I may have to get one bent up, but would obviously prefer not to.

No worries... I have used ABS plastic enclosures (from L&H, Jaycar etc).
Drill out the 'bottom' of the box for your switch mounting and then mount the box by the sides with screws or angle
Example only http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Plastic-E...4AAOSw6n5XsrS7

Use a 240v wiring connector box flicked around the other way.
"Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
Best way to deal with a "Can't" is to chop off the "t" and brew it in boiled water for a few minutes.
Sip on the "t", and consider what you've got left to work with

I saw a recess box in Bunnings electrical dept. you could use that with a 4 or 6 gang wall plate.
