In a nutshell from my experiences I would suggest not to bother for an all rounder truck. It has been an expensive experiment with the 6.5 Chev that was soon found after purchase poorly second hand mechanical setup. It all appears working fine now and will suit my needs planned. Having owned TD’s and Mrs MB still in one they are a similar overheating beast to the Chev donk. FWIW -IMHO certainly do not consider full electric setup for heavy towing on high speed highways especially in high ambient temp climates around Australia.

Fixed the rear view mirror and had a spare 15 minutes so installed a catch can and increased my torque by 210 newton metres .

Just took it for a quick spin and the catch can fell off , I thought it was supposed to catch something .
While torque was greatly improved the rattle drove me crazy so I had to remove it .

Nah it's a 4.2TD auto , it was fun spinning wheels on the 33" muddies when changing to overdrive I must admit !
Just rotated the tyres 180 degrees not forgetting the spare which was easy because you don't have to jack the car up to rotate the spare .
And am currently trying to change the halogen fluid in the head lights but given the cost and mucking around reckon I'd be better off waiting till they blow and buy a new light .
