There’s heaps of snow up there at the moment looking from our place , it’s way down low on the side of Mt Useful , same on the Sentinals & all along the ridge from Licola to Dargo - it looks like Kosiosko in 1 spot , haven’t seen it like that for a few years . Me & my boys camped up above Cheynes bridge a few weeks ago - was planning on going right up & around & down into Burgoynes but got away to late & the sun was setting as we turned off at Cheynes bridge & as @Rossco has said it’s pretty knarly & I didn’t fancy doing it in the dark with no other vehicle with us if we got into strife . Anyway the Macalister river at Cheynes bridge was right up - & that’s before any snow has melted so would be ‘interesting’ crossing that down in Burgoynes . Pretty pumped for this trip - BRING IT ON 👍🏻

Yeah was in there 4 weeks ago and vehicles were struggling at the crossing then, in both directions, motorbikes washed over, no chance, water so cold it hurt your hands to wash them. We camped on the Licola side, and a pair of trucks with deer stalkers took 2 days to get from the river back to the main road, but they were on the wrong tyres.

Never know might have to drag out the old chains (might see if they fit). My tyres don't have lugs.

Bloody hell, I keep forgetting I need to get some wood too. I'm literally down to about six pieces left.
