I have an S5 with lots of problems and 6 months left on the contract.
Haha! I'm still using an old Note 2!. The wife had an S6 Edge but it started to play up and we can't afford to fix it so she's using my old S3.

Such an underwhelming phone.... Used to like the Samsung phones, between me and the missus we've had the Omnia Icon2, Galaxy S2, S4 S5, S7, Note 4 and all been great trouble free phones........ Yes the S8 looks pretty but I want a phone with a completely flat screen, what's the point in Bixby when Google assistant works so better, why put the fingerprint scanner in such an odd spot? Icould go on.
Enjoy the purchase though Westy, the cameras are brilliant on them though...... Oh and don't put too much faith in the iris scanner though

I too debated to go the s8 or an s7 flat.
Mate. The edge is wicked. It feels and works like a flat screen, have been using it like a flat screen.
I think the original idea of having a seperate side like the original edge is now gone, and its just one big screen.
I agree thought about Bixby. I hardly ever use AI assistance so to have so much of the phone taken by it and its own button again was a big question..
And yes finger print also.
But again im old tech. Never used the finger print on the old phone as i often have gloves on, or my prints too torn up from steel..
Am yet to try the eye scan. Will let you know how it goes.
I mainly wemt the s8 as its new tech. Im sicm of buying phones that are already behind when purchased, and then just cant keep up after 18 months.
My old s5 mini striggled to keep up with my lock pattern.. so hopefully no issues in a fee years wity this one..

I tend to watch a fare bit of Netflix on my phone, so wasn't keen on the curved screen due to reflections etc...... I don't know if that's an issue or not though. Was originally after the S8+ but couldn't justify the extra cost, especially as it didn't have any extra features over it smaller sibling.
I ended up getting and LG G6 on a plan instead, with e free 43" TV................ did you get the VR gear with the phone too?
Let us know how you go with battery life too, capacity is smaller that what was first though it might be

Wife and I new OPPO $300 each.

Plans 3 at $20 a month and one at $35 month by month leave whenever we like.
Works well for us.

Have you burnt yours off so you don't leave fingerprints?
That explains why they have not caught up with you yet.
