I just checked the section 32 and there is no mention of this.

Unfortunately it may be a case of buyer beware.
The letter is addressed to us, so they know we are the new owners.

Yes the previous owners are again wiping their hands.

I'm with other comments here. Ring the council and talk to them. Explain. Hope your council listens better then Whittlesea do...
No point in ringing the council, they won't budge. The letter is addressed to us so they know whats going on. We are ringing our conveyancer tomorrow, for the second major issue, the first is our missing 41k, to see if they can sort this out. As the way I see it, I should not have to pay for the storm water repairs, as we did not own the property until March, and as I said, no mention of this in the section 32 and also at the auction.
Just another head fark! I think I'm nearing breaking point. I've already drunk a bottle of wine since 5.30 and ready to neck the Jack. Which aint helping with the heart palpitations I have. If you see me on the news for going ballistic at someone and ramming my Patrol into a shop or car. You will know why.

The only thing keeping me sane is that I absolutely love living here. And my family of course....
Just looking outside and seeing all the different birds enjoying our trees. Being at near eye level with the trees from our balcony watching the big brush tails and little Ringtails jump about in the trees is really something. Not so much for some country folk who see this often. I have never had this and I love it.

Legendary
When I bought the rental the solicitor did all the disclosures and flicked up to the tune of $700 bucks , errr sorry about that so I don't know if you have a case or not , anything worth having is always full of surprises good and bad .
In your case bad , had two rangers knock on the door this arvo about a dog complaint I made two months ago wanting to know if I was happy and had any problems , I nearly fell over .

Just frustrated. Am I the only woman married to a man that doesn't have to 'talk to the missus' when buying something or is it just an excuse instead of saying no I don't want what your selling ? Man up and make your own decisions.

Haha. Quite the opposite. I'm trying to sell a van and they'll all 'definitly take it, just have to check with the missus'. I've had 4 in two days.

There are those that will take it and then there's those that will say they'll take it , big difference between the tyre kickers and the genuine .
Having said that if they have agreed on price and hubby is making excuses is he attached to van and doesn't want it gone maybe .
Has to be a reason there somewhere .

Nah, he doesn't get attached to anything. Lucky I'm not worth anything otherwise I'd be gone years ago.
