I work in the Process Control field, managing the Australian division of a South Korean valve automation manufacturer. We are only a small family owned operation in Australia so its a pretty hands on role. We have picked up a few reasonably large jobs recently that have kept us afloat, but in general it's pretty grim out there for the day to day work. I've been doing this for 10 years now, but have had a good variety of jobs throughout my working life. Seismic and Geologic Exploration, Long Distance Truck driver/Farm worker/Storeman and eventually moved into management roles about 16 years ago through a stroke of luck.

First day at the new job.
As of today working in the fabrication department. Using a brake press and guillotine with a few more months and hands on experience should be able to set up and run different jobs on different machines, benders and die presses without any assistance.
