    Help needed. Window won't go up

    Is there a way of closing it by bridging a couple of wires...
    I tried this but nothing.

    To wind the window up jump wires:
    1..White -> Blue / Black (power)
    2.Blue / white -> Blue/ Red (earth)

    To wind the window down:
    1.Blue/Yellow -> Blue Black (earth)
    2.White -> Blue red (power)

    Doing the above worked on the rear window but not on the front passenger.
    Is there any way of closing it.

    Tried with two people no good.
    Mechanism is OK and have tried the switch in a different door and it OK, problem is the master in the drivers door. For whatever reason it will go down but not up.
    Weather isn't looking to great tomorrow and we down to one car till Thursday night.

    To wind the window up. Disconnect the front passenger window switch. Turn ignition on.

    Connect a jumper wire between the White wire and the Blue / Black wire.

    Connect the Blue / Red wire directly to earth...... a metal part of the body.

    Who wound it down again jay see? Maybe someone local could pop around or you visit someone and wind it up with their switch? More than welcome to use mine if you come all this way.

    All fixed, well it's up anyway and I've left the switch disconnected.

    My wife is driving it as her car is at the beaters getting fixed.
    She told my son to push the button down, why down to make a window go up I asked, replies with because up didn't do anything.
    I bite my tongue and walked away.

    Biting the tongue is sometimes best. Haha. Glad you got it sorted mate. Keep an eye on ebay the switches pop up on there from time to time.
