Hi and welcome to the forum.

Is there a reason you are set on one of these? to be honest i think they are a little over rated as the spare wheel provides a couple of steps too. I am happy to help you spend $350 on something for his car though lol. tell us about his car, what mods now, how he likes to use it, what kind of driving you guys do. Camping Day trips only?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I tried to find them years ago and could never find someone who makes them for the GQ in Australia.

Agree they are kind of pointless but for some reason I reckon they look very cool on the GQ!

Hi and thanks for your quick reply!

The intention is for longer off road trips but at this stage, it has only been used for everyday driving and day trips - camping, fishing etc.

He had mentioned in passing wanting a ladder as he has recently lifted the car. I don't know much about cars so not sure what modifications have been made and what is just normal. Roof racks, new scoop, tent, rod holder, fridge, drop-down table and lighting, draws, air compressor, dual tank, new lights to install. To me it's big and it's blue.

Not opposed to buying something else for the car, so happy to hear what you think would be better or any good stores for gift vouchers for stores in Aus?

Other things I think he has mentioned wanting are canvas seat covers, jerry can holder etc etc

    Thanks so much
