    Bout ye all

How ya going... Northern Irishman living in Boonah in Queensland and bought a March 2003 3.0l ZD30 Patrol with 195k on the clock about 18months ago without finding this forum, so forgive me for my sins.

My vehicle history to illustrate my randomness and clueness before moving here is a 1972 VW Beetle, a 1986 Landrover 110 Defender, a Smart Roadster Coupe, a Volvo XC70, a Volkswagen Passat and a 1992 Toyota Hilux Surf (which I ran on waste veg oil)

I have been reading lots on the forum (the contributors I am grateful to) and am just about to buy a catch can and start the NADS upgrades as my yoke is stock with the exception of a bullbar and snorkel. So will ask lots of questions as I am a bit of a mechanical numpty.

First question - what the hell does NADS stand for?

    Cheers... David.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Welcome David.

You got the Condamine Gorge and scenic rim tracks up that way. Happy wheelin' may want to go with a club though.

Oh yeah NADs was greyhound in the footy show (they would cheer him on when racing Go Nads!)...and also in this case it is the Nissan Anti Detonation System.

    Have read here https://www.mypatrol4x4.com/topic/57...by-step-guide/

or here for home forum explanation http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2-What-is-NADs

Happy to help mate. I am still learning and getting up to speed on my own rig, and the learning curve is like doing Ball bearing track in the glasshouse mountains...steep and slippery.
