They gave me a bottle of it. I've never used a flush before. I tipped a tiny bit in.
Didn't know it existed. I just ensure the motor is well warmed up before dumping the oil.

Hope to maybe be a convert from here on in, like @Cuppa .
Mine now has 240k & also doesn't lose any oil between changes.

Does anybody actually measure the oil they drop? I don't, so can't say how much I use in between changes, but it stays roughly at the same point on the dipstick.

I have always used Caltex Delo 400 but it is no longer available, switched to Castrol Rx 15W40. Only used it this one time so far, just checked now and has definitely used a bit, estimating around 5mm on dipstick in 3900km.
The cold tinnies and warm fire were calling mate, would have taken too long to get to camp if we all got stuck!

That's what I've used for years till they canned it.
Think I've personally depleted the last 2 drums found in Melbourne last year.

I'm also using the Penrite 15/50 semi synth.
I've found if I'm Miss Daisying, short runs to and from work etc, it will chew thru a bit.
The moment I load the backpack or start dragging the camper trailer that pretty much ceases.
