Yeah so $420 which I thought was ok.
I reckon a repair and rod would be $250 so thought stuff it, it’s brand spanking and no potential issues.
I just flogged it up to the hills in 4th to test it and didn’t go over 80 so I’m a happy little camper.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yep I have a 77 too and also wanting to go higher I think.
My bloody death wobbles have come too, borderline not drivable so gotta fix this before Licola.

Try nipping up the bearings a wee bit more. I had to replace the stub axles on mine as where the inner race sits it had worn away there and the bearings just kept on coming lose enough for the wobbles. replaced and all is good.

As some of you know I have been experiencing violent death wobbles ever since our trip back home from Licola and I have tried everything to fix it.
I recently put two brand new balanced tyres on the front and still had the wobbles.
I just put the exact old tyres back on but reversed them and just came back from a drive, no more wobbles???
I took it to all the spots I know gets the wobbles and nothing, a couple of little wobbles here and there but they stopped quickly and was only minor.
How can that be?
Same tyres but just on different sides, ok, original sides crazy wobbles, brand new tyres same wobbles.
All been balanced, etc.
