First time patrol owner.
Hi All. I've recently purchased a Y61 2009 Patrol. I've been reading the forums here which have lots of valuable information and I look forward to learning all the tips from fellow Patrol owners.
I have just today filled up the tank again and the economy for 100% town driving is 16.8L/100 (17MPG). Does this seem about right? The vehicle is 3.0L Automatic , stock standard with no accessories attached. Tyres are Pirelli Scorpion standard size and pressure.
Kind regards,
Aaron.

G'day mate and welcome to the forum. 16.8 seems a bit much, I get around 13s depending on what I'm doing.

Hello and welcome to the forum 16/100 seems a touch high ,but that may be due to driving style.
I have a DI and recently been driving with the OD button off, and seems to get better ltr /100k

Thanks for your responses. I have been driving how one would to save as much fuel as possible and still got 16l/100. I'm feeling a bit disappointed. Anyone know what could be affecting this? I have read that if the EGR is not functioning correctly, blocking it off can improve economy.

There are reasons to block the EGT but economy is not the main one. How long since a tune up. Do you have heavy stuff on it?

Hi. No my Patrol has nothing added. No snorkel, bullbar or racks. I've havent had it long but did an oil change (oil and air filters) as soon as I got it home after purchasing from used car dealership.
