Yeah that's a fusible link. You will need to replace that first. It's looks simple but they can be sensitive and any voltage drop across it won't be helping you at all.
So you had power to the rail before you ruined the fuse, have fixed the short and now it won't glow? See if your other wagon has one and swap it out. Clean all your plugs even scratching the connectors to clean em up a bit and see how you go.

Do you have an alarm or shut down timer fitted?
I think that fuse is the wrong type for your vehicle but if you were getting power to the glow plug rail this can't be your problem.
With the ignition on, use your test light and check the fuses in the fuse box inside the vehicle.

The plastic ring goes under the rail to stop it shorting.

Yep that's right, but there is no power to the rail anymore after I ruined the fuse. I'll check my other one but being petrol it won't have one?? So should I take the little 7mm bolt off the top of the plugs that is on top of the plastic rings?
If you're happy and you know it tap a post!

Thats the fuse that was in there and always worked before? Which fuses inside should I check?

Your other one should have one.
The glow plugs should have the plastic ring then the small nut to hold it on then glow rail and the the nut to hold the rail on.

After reading your previous post, don't worry about checking the fuses inside.
Fit the insulators and replace the fuse.

Yeah that's how I had it? Didn't work. Before I touched anything if I glowed the plugs about 5 times it would start, not now. That's when I took the plastic rings off and blew the fuse.
The glow light still comes on in the dash and the timer still works too.

Sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere. When everything was working did you check you were getting full battery voltage at the rail befor you blew the fuse.
