    Hdp ic

    G'day guys,

Got a query, not knowing much but slowly learning I'm replacing my IC since it started leaking fairly decently. I've bought a HDP IC off of a member on here so hopefully it holds up well.

I'm planning on putting in a few redarc gauges next and noticed that this IC has a 'boost sensor' built into it, is that any use to me with an EGT/Boost redarc gauge? If so, do I need to order anything specifically alongside the actual gauge to be able to use it?

    Cheers.

Where is the original boost sensor fitted then? To me it looks like you've scored the IC with the boost sensor still fitted from previous owner. These things don't come with built in sensors as far as I know.

Redarc gauges should come with their own senders unless the gauges allow for adjustments/settings for different type of pressure senders/transducers. Settings like absolute pressure or gauge pressure etc....

    Regards

Edit: I had a look on Redarc website, it appears it has their boost sensor interface it isn't very clear how it works but they don't list any pressure sensors for air....

here you go use one of these it'll make fitting a boost gauge easier and neater

This is the factory boost sensor that was transferred over from the original factory intercooler. If you have a CRD you should need it for the plug that came off your existing IC
