I hope not. The way the population is growing exponentially, (regardless of our knowledge on ill impact of it) any significant extension of lifespan won't do any good.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

Technology is great and we all thrive for it (sone might not agree) but we do, that is the fact. We all want things to be more conveniant ,we all want what we thought were luxuries to be a common place in our lives.

Do we want people living to a 130 years old. NO! The world can not sustain this. Simple!

There has to be limits on how we use technology.

This video, even though its just adverising a certain product is giving us a look into what is to come. It will be scary to some of the advances we will have in the future.

I reckon take a seat and enjoy the ride, we can not stop technology advances...hopefully it wont fark us in the end

They will be facing the music of what we leave behind. But, there are signs of some of them having bit more grey matter in their brains than we do. I try to be optimistic even when it is not realistic, 'cos it does help with new ideas & solutions

Yeah, I hope it won't screw us as well mate, but I think it is as we're speaking.
I go with George Carlin with most of this stuff. We need to stop the population growth right where it is now, yet we are too busy
with getting the latest, fanciest gadget. Perhaps, like Carlin said, we should either do something or just enjoy the ride.
    Complaining won't get us anywhere.

I dont think the latest gadgets etc have anything to do with it.

As harsh as it might sound we need to let people die when they are done with life, not when the technology lets them go. Let it be natural without machines and pills!

They should decide when it is time and not some other farkwit in hospital thinking it is the right thing to do.

Might be straying a bit here but anyway....my thought

I meant being too simplistic and becoming bit too blind to the changes around us.
Pursuit of gizmos in everyday life has turned some of us into automatons.

Yep, euthanasia should be legal when a person decide to go.
