Gq wipers only working when car's off.

    Hi guy,
Having some problems with the wipers on my shorty.
Went out bush yesterday and they were all fine, jumped in today and they don't work when the car is running.
The do work when the car is not running however and just switched to accessories.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
    It's got me stumped.
    Cheers

Nothing pops into my head right now as the cause of this strange behaviour.

I'm sure somebody with electrickery expertise will reply soon.

Apart from checking the ignition switch, I reckon PM @Yendor for this one, bloke.

Turns out I have no radio or heater when the ignition is switched to "on" as well but they all work when it's on "acc"

Sounds like a bad connection at the switch or a burnt or crap coated contact.

No the, switch mechanism that the barrel turns. I have seen them for sale on EBay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-N...cAAOSwLnBX252P

    Check the wiring first though.

If you have downloaded the manual, Have a look at Page EL 6. It has a chart showing which contacts are live in the Accessory, On and Start Position. You should be able to use a multimeter set on DC volts or a test light to check what is happening.
