Don't know how it compares, but Hema just released an update for their 4wd app which includes a number of new maps, including 8 maps covering the Vic High Country with most, if not all tracks named. Pic is a screenshot of part of one map, from my phone.

For comparison, here is an example of the detail of Rooftop maps.

I think the thing with rooftops is all the little bits of info and the reliability of it too. There's so much stuff I've found in the bush that would have never if known about, huts, waterfalls mines etc, plus info on track conditions is pretty bang on. .

I recall reading an article in a 4wd magazine many years ago, and it showed an amazing stretch of water with a huge deep fishing hole. I tried to find the location on the maps based on the description in the article. I ended up making contact with the old guy who does the rooftop maps and he was really helpful. I told him the story, gave him the description and approx location - somewhere close to Bindaree Hut from memory. I then rang him back next day and he had gone thru his trek notes and photos and confirmed 100% the spot was not near the hut as noted. He physically walked every track himself in those day, so he knows the content back to front. In the end I never found the fishing spot - may have been deliberately disguised in the article to protect its exclusivity.

Yep fair enough , the Rooftop maps do definitely look better. However the new Hema map set for the high country might come a reasonable second best. At the scale in Winnies screen shot Rooftop has more info & is clearer than Hema. With Hema you would need to switch between two zoom levels to see the contours & all the track names. Less 'points of interest on the Hema too.

There's alot of work involved in putting the paper maps onto something and georeferencing and only really worth it if you spend a heap of time in the high country, but if you do they're bloody awesome ! . . Massive thanks to Drewboys wicked thread on the forum don't think I would have ever worked it out without lol . .

Being that the new Musso is new in Australia, aftermarket options are very limited. Also, mostly they are crap. I have resorted to looking for universal solutions. Some that know me know I do alot of timber work which means transporting long lengths. This is the start of my working out a longer vehicle rack. I'll be adding a tray to the frame, but not until I find roof racks that aren't clamp mount type. At this time the only type in Australia that are available are clamp mount and I think that design is absolutely puss. Anyway, happy with the frame, the build quality is great, it's solid as a rock and will suit my need perfectly. Oh and I reckon it was a good price. $699 including shipping.

Depending on your roof style clamps might be the only option. Some models do have the rails bolt onto them that run front to back but if they arent there fron factory then it won't leave any other option. Some rack manufacturers will instruct you to remove the roof liner and drill holes but this isn't great either.
