Mods, Mods, Mods
Is there anyone out there that doesn't have lockers or a winch?
This 4WD caper is a money pit.
Buying the truck was not enough, it looks like my accessories are going to cost more than the purchase price.
One Powerball.....and I will do it all at once.

..........
I don't have lockers or winch but we don't have the sort of tracks in SA that they have in Vic so have not needed them.
Planning to do Cape York next year so may get a winch before then.

If only..
My gu was completely stock standard except for the bullbar and winch.
I'm not finished yet, but slowly coming together how I want it. Look at my signature.
All in good time....

Don't have a locker , do have a winch that cost $190 from Aldi , have used and abused it but it won't die .
The remote is better than some other big brands and when remote is switched from wire to remote , no power is at the pins so no one can activate winch with paper clips .
Depending on what 4by you buy depends a certain degree on what mods you need as apposed to what you want or would like .
Suspension , bigger tyres and a 2" lift were my main needs , the rest just got added when I found a bargain or a need .
You can still do a fair bit of four wheeling with a stock GQ or GU .

G'day Mc4by mate, these Patrols have the tuffest /tighest diffs/drivetrains in my opinion. Our family stock early GU truckster easily crawls beyond most cowboy rigs mate :-)
