MY NEW (TO ME) PATROL MADE ME HAPPY TODAY.
So I bought a 96 GQ 4.2efi a few weeks ago for cheap and have spent a LOT of hours fixing stuff on it due to previous owners neglect. It's completely rust free with only 220Ks on it so I was prepared to make a few allowances for it. Yesterday it was finally ready to hit the bush.
Took it out on its first bush run today and VERY HAPPY. It was way better than my old prado in the sand. And its still a fully stock GQ. Left the cruisers for dead. I'm fully converted to the school of PATROL.
Cant wait to get a 2" lift. I ordered 33" tires yesterday and they go on next week.
Its such a cool car. That rear LSD works awesome.
cheers
Damo

On my face book news feed this arvo popped up a guy looking for help on a Vic Rescue page. It was less than 10kma from my place so headed out and dragged this 60 series out of the diff deep mud he found himself in.
Took a double.line pull to turn him round then a second winch for the final pull out.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
