Watching 17 million campers going past my property now!

Yeap, I was one of those 17 million.

Drove up to Eildon on Thursday night through the hills with no traffic. Stayed with three other families, mates that I have known for well over 20 years. Had a chance to give the new battery and solar panel a good test and performed very well. Fridge was set to 1 degree and there would have been at least 2 phones on charge at a minimum pretty much all the time (6 kids). I haven't changed anything on the panel and I don't think I will. Only drove out to the Thornton pub once.

Monday drove back the same way with a stop a Buxton for a burger, wow Yummo. Two of the youngest kids 12 &13 had a Buxton spiecal, both smashed them.

Did a spot of fishing and a mate pulled up a undersized trout. A photo and it was returned to the water.

Had a great time car performed well, but those hills was a 2nd gear climb, but we made it.

I fitted up the new Bosch Alternator last Thursday, Took off up the Murray on Friday morning. I instantly noticed I had 14.8v charging to both batts straight away and then after a while it settled down. Seeing how this new alternator is charging compared to the old cheap chinese, even when it was working, just shows you get what you pay for.

Up until a month ago I was camping at Thornton pub 2 nights a week @jay see , bloody good feed 👌🏼 Alternated between there & Molesworth - wherever my logbook would get me - by that end of the day i was right up on my hrs so that determined it . Buxton burgers were HUGE yrs ago but haven't had 1 for a while .

Camping at the pub ay nice
Wasn't at the pub for a feed, bloody kids and one of my mates wanted to watch the footy and the burgers are still huge. My youngest downed it in a few minutes. It was like an episode of Man vs food.

So I guess it's time to bring you lot up to speed on what's been going on in the Westbrook life this far of 2018.
And exciting is putting it lightly...
In short were upping and moving out.
I'm going home, back to Yorke Peninsula.
Landed a beautiful house basically center of the leg on a bit of land, landed a job in Kadina in a new and exciting Avenue of work as a draftsman / 2ic of a shed building company and hopefully Nissa gets some good news today on a job for herself.

Nissa and I have been busting ass these last few months to finish our Mt G house as we are going to try and rent it. Gunna be hard being 700km away but hopefully the ground work layed now will see it issue free for many years.

So nearly 13 years in mount gambier is coming to an end, but as I said new exciting times lay ahead.
As always if your on yorkes drop in.
Plenty of room for you, even a forum meet up!!

    The new house for you.
    Cheers
    Cheers
