    Unfortunately I'm out for the Licola trip this year. It's been confirmed that that weekend is my daughters birthday party.

    Judging by the amount of snow that was in the area on the weekend, you'll be in for a great trip for sure!!

    I'm the same, I'm really looking forward to this as I've only seen the snow a few times in my life.
    Do you guys think it will be best to run the 33s or 35s?

    Just spoke to Licola and the neighbouring farm up from cabin 1 has a lot of wood available from fallen trees.

    The farmer is ok for us to access his farm, close gate behind you of course so happy days!

    If they are both muddies, maybe the 33's will suffice. I don't know what tracks we will be able to do as most will be closed. So it might mainly be a sight seeing weekend. But I only have 35inch muddies so they will be going on. Or I could leave the 33inch AT's on for some slippery loving. lol.

    Both muddies. I'll probably just leave the 33s on, it's nice not having to worry about the boys in blue..

    Hahahahahahaha! Ummmmmm.... No mate, you will not. I saw a vid this morning on FB that was taken last week between Finke and Mt Dare that was BOG. It was the same when i was though there in 2010. expect really Heavy Mud mate. air down and stick to the tracks no matter what. straight through the water bud there is a solid road under there somewhere. attempting to go around can lead to disaster unless there is a very well used diversion. Plow on through. You will have fun.

    Note also my friend. When i did the Madigan in July i woke up at Camp 6 and the Temperature outside was -1.5 and the Temperature inside my fridge was +1.0. It will get Very Fresh up there bud. Have a great time. Look after each other. it could be a real Slog.

    Also make sure someone in your group has a chainsaw as the wood on the ground is very hard and scarce. collect wood whenever you se it from 10am onwards for the nights fire, you might not see any more that day!
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Cheers Daz, really looking forward to it now it's gong to be epic. Yeah expecting it to be wet and a potential slog can't wait should be a real adventure. Was expecting nice days but cold nights. Wasn't going to bring a saw but might take my little arb saw. From memory they weren't allowed last time, however if your doing other travels surely can't be too much of an issue to have one with you.
