Not for me I won't , pity I took the big ARB fridge out of the camper it would have held three to four bags easy but the fridge in the GQ is much smaller .

Went out and visited them all today and was glad I never stayed last night , they had a tornado rip through camp which chewed up pretty much everything that wasn't tied down .
No major injuries thank god but quite a lot of broken equipment.
Was great to meet who was there a great bunch of people who are welcoming and easy to get along with .

We were very lucky that nobody got hurt.
It would be hard for people to appreciate how intense it was but it was absolutely insane.
Would have loved to have a reading on the rainfall and windspeeds but we estimated 50mm within 60 seconds and 200km/h wind speed.
My wife and daughter were inside my camper trailer when it happened and when it started getting out of control both @MudRunnerTD were hanging off one corner of my tent but it lifted us in the air and collapsed the tent, wife inside holding baby and having a panic attack. Bent the main frame of my trailer which will need to either be repaired or replaced.

Awnings flying everywhere, Pearceys was torn off the side of his caravan. MB's oztent rv5 annex ripped the stitching and was torn off.
As we were leaving we look at the rubbish dump point and reckon there were about 30 gazebo frames in the bin.

It all stopped as soon as it started and once we had packed all our gear up we drove into town to get a motel room but nothing available so slept in the car. There was a branch that fell on a car up the road, a branch fell on top of Darren's toilet tent, roofys toilet tent ended up 400m from where it was tied down.
Truly an awful experience, but will make a great story.

I tell ya Winnie, I had my eye on the radar from Thursday and watched that part of Vic get belted and belted and belted. I was hoping it wasn't as bad as it actually turned out. Good to hear no one was hurt, and 'stuff' can be replaced. By contrast we have had mostly still humid conditions down here and tomorrow is going to be worse. Did many stay over today or most head home?

OMG those bins were overflowing and wrecked gazebos tents and chairs were piled around all the bins when I left .
Rossco got there today and there were still a few there but some had gone home .

Most stayed, people with caravans fared okay and except for Pearcey they got their awnings up in time so no damage there.
MudRunnerTD is on his way home cos all his bedding got wet and they had a rough night. He was busy helping me with my camper and didn't realise his was getting a hammering as well.
Would have been so humid today.
The rain went for about 2 or 3 minutes and the wind around 1 minute. The wind was blowing the sand around though and it got in everywhere, we'll be cleaning sand out for years.
